2 Great Upcoming Playstation Move Games

The Playstation Move is the new motion control device from Sony for the Playstation 3. It supports precision movement and an alternate control scheme so you can play your games how you want to play them, without sitting on the couch pressing buttons repeatedly.

One of the unique features of the Playstation Move versus the Xbox Kinect is that it uses existing technology to interact with your Playstation. Instead of having to purchase a brand new camera and hook it into your Playstation, if you already own the Playstation Eye, you can purchase the move bundle and you will be ready to go.

The release catalog for the Playstation Move is pretty extensive, with several unique titles that will be available when the device launches later this holiday season. One of the most interesting aspects aside from the ability to integrate into existing games such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011 and Heavy Rain is titles that are specifically designed to use the Move control scheme.

Sorcery is one such title and the initial gameplay may look as though it is inspired by Harry Potter, but it is an entirely new franchise designed specifically for the move. In Sorcery, you play a wizard’s apprentice who must retake the wizard’s castle after it has become infested with goblins and all manner of creatures. You have a variety of spells to help you on your way, such as the ability to conjure fire, ice, and tornadoes.

Another great game that will be released is Heroes on the Move, which sees a collaboration of several great Playstation icons, all working together in one game. Players will control the likes of Ratchett, Clank, Jak, Daxter, and even Sly Cooper makes a return to one of the hottest Move games this year. The platforming adventure will be crazy fun and is a must purchase for anyone who will be getting the Move.

There aren’t any price reduction expected on the console any time soon, but cheap PS3 systems are pretty easy to track down.  Amazon is a great place to start if you’re looking for something new, and your local game store will be the best place if you want a used console.
