Finding A Netbook Case

Netbooks are more prone to bumps and damage than larger laptops. Laptops are built with a more heavy duty mindset. Netbooks are cheaper than laptops, but they are not free. It is worth it to find the right laptop case to protect your netbook. You’ll want to shop around, as there is so much variety, price range, and features to choose from.

These are some of the things that you should be considering. For the absolute protection, a case should have a hard shell on the outside with padding on the inside. This will protect your laptop from the most common dangers. Of course, the size should match that of your laptop, but you will also want to consider if you want a larger bag in order to fit in cables and any accessories that you need. If you want a messenger type bag that has an over the shoulder strap, that will need to be part of your search criteria. Of course, appearance is a factor. A netbook bag that looks like an over sized purse or backpack may be less prone to theft.

Some netbook cases come like laptop bags. They will have compartments for your phone, your pens, even your books for school. If you have an external mouse and keyboard, make sure that whatever carrying case you choose will have a spot for these.  Just make sure that space is one of many of your criteria. Don’t get caught up on fun pockets and organization tactics and overlook protection, which is the main focus of the case.

Another option entirely is the laptop sleeve. A sleeve is just a small piece of fabric that will protect from scratches and dust. This is important, but it should not be the only form of protection that you use for your laptop under $300. The nice thing about the sleeve is the fun variety in design. You can get sleeves in every color and pattern conceivable. If you opt for a basic case, but still want some spunk, a fun laptop sleeve is a great option.
