Look around a child’s room and see what toys they have and better yet see what type of books they are reading. Buying birthday gifts or Christmas gifts to complement their interests is a good way to come up with a gift that won’t be a clunker and relegated to the back of the closet or worse under the bed to never see the light of day. Dinosaurs often are a favorite of many children and if they have an interest in them toys to feed that interest are easy to find.

A gift that would really help parents out and surprise a child would be to get a dinosaur bedding set. Dinosaur bedding would be a hit with any budding scientist and a joy for them to display on their bed and sleep under. Even better other gifts could go with the bedding set, with a pair of dinosaur printed pajamas, being almost a necessity to sleeping under dinosaur sheets and on dinosaur pillowcases.

Older children may be sports fans and bedding can be found that displays logos from favorite teams or sports and again gifts to match the bedding are easily found. Interests need to be cultivated and as a child grows and learns more things those interests will probably change, but often early interests stick with a child a long time. The fascination may wax and wane, but eventually it gets picked back up and the knowledge base broadens out. As this happens the child either sticks with it or it gets dropped in favor of a different thing. Fads come and go, but real life-long passions stick with someone and they keep returning to them as new ideas come about or new discoveries are made.
