Canon Pixma ip6000- A Practical Printing Solution

Canon’s Pixma series has been noted for its innovative printing technology and multiple connectivity features. The Canon ip6000 is no exemption. This printer is surely an excellent addition to any home or office. Moreover, it can very much compete with the most advanced printers in the market. Though considered as a mid-sized printer, the ip6000 comes with functional features that should satisfy even the most discriminating of users.

The Canon Pixma ip6000 printer comes in a stylish silver and gray design. It has dimensions of 17 x 12 x 8 inches. Setting up the printer is easy as it includes an operating manual. The printer is first installed by putting in the removable print head, installing the ink cartridges, followed by the driver software, and then connecting the input cable to the printer. It takes about 15 minutes to install this printer and connect it to a computer.

There are two paper sources for the Canon Pixma ip6000. First is an automatic sheet loader found on top of the printer, and the second one is an internal tray located at the base. Both paper trays can support a maximum of 150 paper sheets, or a combine 300 sheets of paper. The paper sizes can range from envelopes, 4 x 6” and 5 x 7” photo paper, as well as letter sized photo papers. The lower paper tray however is best used for storing photo paper and keeping them secure from dirt and dust. Users can select usage from the bottom and top paper trays through the printer driver or the control panel.

The Pixma ip6000 printer from Canon also comes with an integrated duplexer, which allows users to print on either side of a plain paper. In addition to that, this function also permits users to print on 2 sided photo papers although this is not optimal for small paper. The built-in duplexer cuts paper wastage, which simply means more savings on the part of the user.
