If you are preparing to sort out your wardrobe in time for summer then the 9 cube storage organizer could be just what you need. It enables you to sort out all of your clutter and keep it tidy in each of the 9 cubes available. It is ideal for shoes, towels, bedding and old clothing. Now there really is no excuse not to keep your closet organized!

The ClosetMaid 9 Cube Storage Solution

One of the most popular 9 cube storage solutions currently available is the ClosetMaid. It comes in a number of different colours and is created using wood laminate so will ultimately last for years. One of the great advantages to this product is that there are separate cube shaped drawers that can fill the empty cube spaces.

The drawers are sold separately and they come in a variety of different colours. So if you choose the white coloured organizer, you could decorate it with different coloured drawers, such as the pink storage cubes. This means that no matter what the style of your home and closet, you will be able to make the 9 cube organizer fit in quite easily.

If you visit Amazon.com you will be able to find the ClosetMaid 9 cube organizer and the drawers that go with it. The drawers are created using fabric so they are not heavy and they look really stylish. The cube storage itself is very easy to install and you don’t even have to use it in the closet. You could instead use it in your children’s bedroom to keep their toys organized.

The great thing about this sort of organizer for storage cubes is that it will fit quite a lot of things in it. It won’t take up too much space and it can go in most rooms within the home. So why not consider a 9 cube storage organizer the next time you feel like de-cluttering your home or your closet?

Speaking of bedroom closet organizers, there are several brands and models available in various furniture outlets and home improvement stores across the country. Since our closet is one space in the house that we want to look with a striking accent, we often try to brainstorm some ideas to achieve what we want when it comes to our closet. An elegant looking, tidy, and organized closet space can certainly be much easier to achieve these days because of the creation of closet organizers. These are systems of shelving units, storage boxes, drawers, vertical bars, and racks that are installed such manners that they complement each other well. However though, with the proliferation of hundreds of models and brand names out in the market, it can be quite cumbersome to choose which one would fit our needs and wants when it comes to our closets.

Currently, there is one brand name in the area of closets that speaks of luxury and elegance. Sounds expensive, huh? Well, not really. In fact, this brand has been a big favorite amongst many house owners since a decade ago – John Louis. Actually, this closet organizer manufacturer specializes in wood closet systems in a wide range of models and designs. Of course, there are other brands of elegant wood closet organizer systems out there; but, the John Louis brand has been consistent in staying on top of the list. We will tackle briefly why this is so.

John Louis closet organizers are made from the finest timber known to man – red mahogany. However though, other timber materials coming from solid pine and teak may also be used in some models. Without a doubt, solid pine wood and teak wood are also tough by themselves; but, red mahogany has the upper hand when it comes to conveying a luxurious and elegant statement. The natural shade of red mahogany makes it perfect for a wardrobe closet setting considering that it tends to blend well with various garment colors and styles.

A John Louis closet organizing system can cost between $250 up to $499 depending on size and features. Custom closet organizers from John Louis can also be had especially for larger closet spaces (i.e. walk-in closets). A big number of home improvement and furniture stores may carry this brand in their product inventories. Target and Home Depot are two big stores that carry this brand. Fortunately, there are lots of merchants that already have established online presence; hence, looking for a John Louis closet system may not be that hard these days.

One of the basic options open to you when trying to decide on the doors that are going to front your wardrobe is to choose sliding mirror wardrobe doors. This option gives you the opportunity to use a number of different design styles or you can choose between them all to pick one that best suits your décor.

There are a number of advantages to installing mirror wardrobe doors but the main one is that they will give you the bonus of providing a full length dressing mirror in the bedroom. This is a space saving bonus because you won’t have to bring a separate mirror into the room, or hang one on the inside door if you buy swinging hinged wardrobe doors.

By adding a large mirror to the bedroom you are effectively making the room brighter because any light that enters the room will more adequately be reflected.

The sliding doors that you can buy may be one of a few different types. The straightforward sliding doors simply run by each other along parallel tracks giving you a smoothly performing set of doors. Another type of sliding door that you may prefer is the bi-fold sliding door. This also makes use of a track system but the doors fold back neatly on one another as they slide back and forth.

Because these types of doors are fairly commonly used you will find that they are not overly expensive. The range will be reasonable although the main selection will be based on the different types of metal trim as well as a slight variation on the mirror color (silver, gold, bronze, etc). If the doors you want to use fit wardrobe furniture that is of a standard size then you shouldn’t have too many problems finding a set that suits you. The slightly more expensive option is to have the doors custom made so that they are fitted exactly to a wardrobe that you already own.

The term closet is derived from the word clausum which means closed. It started in the seventeenth century as a small room that is often located at the back of a bedroom, before it is used for privacy purposes like reading, doing personal artworks and many more. In the present day a closet is known as an enclosed space, which is considered as one of the most practical and convenient items inside a house or in any type of building. Things such as clothes, shoes and other items can be stored in it. Sometimes it can also be an ideal place for storing food.

One of the main purposes for having a closet is to reduce or eliminate clutter in a room. This is why considering closet organization is important. If it looks as though a hurricane passed by your closet then do not fret because you can achieve an organized closet by following these few simple tips.

Determine the things that you still need to keep. If you have not used a shirt or any item in a year then it is advised that you either throw it or give it away. Get rid of a shirt or jeans that do not fit you very well. But if you really like the item then try putting a yellow ribbon or any sign on the hanger. If you have worn it within the year then remove the ribbon but if you have not worn it you need to totally remove the item from your closet. The ribbon will be your reminder.

Write a description about the shoes inside a shoe box so you can easily determine what is inside the box. Try investing on clear storage shoe box for an easier access on your shoes.

Make use of all the spaces inside your closet like the edges, the back doors, etc. If you will buy bins or other storage items then make sure that you know the measurement of the closet.

Organization is a problem that many people face. Closets are typically cluttered with several items from shoes to coats. With a closet organizer system these items will be easy to find and will always have a place of their own. These systems also will help to maximize the storage space in any type of closet.

The pantry closet in a home is often in need of organization. Closet organizers can help the pantry to become organized and allow the items inside to be easily found. This type of pantry organizer often has shelves in it. Some come with pocket holders to house smaller spice pouches and noodles. Wire baskets are another option that many closet systems come with. These baskets work great in the pantry and hold items such as potatoes and onions. Soup can racks and spice racks can usually be purchased with the systems or can easily be purchased separately.

Store purchased wire closet organizers are usually easy to install. They can have quite a few pieces included in the box and reading the directions will be necessary during construction. They can be purchased in wood or in wire shelving materials. Options such as drawers, shelves and hanging rods can be found in this type of closet organizer system. Shoe racks can often be found in these systems or can be found in the same materials to purchase separately.

Custom organizers for closets are becoming a popular item. When considering this option the purchaser should first measure the inside of the closet they want the organizer created for. These measurements are typically the length, width and girth of the closet. They take these measurements to the manufacturer and there they choose which materials that they would like the system to be created from. This type of custom closet organizer can range in price from manufacturer to manufacturer.

A childs closet is often cluttered with clothes, shoes and toys. These items can be housed easily with the correct closet organizer. These systems can be purchased in many colors and choices of wood or metal. Shelving units can be added to the closet organizer and labeled to help children locate an outfit for each day of the week. Large totes also referred to as a cube storage unit, can be placed on the floor, under the organizer, to hold many of the childs toys. There are pocket organizers that can be purchased to use with closet organizers. These pockets hold smaller items such as crayons, small cars and even shoes.

So you have decided that you have had enough of rummaging through your closet trying to find your favorite pair of Levis. You’ve tried cleaning out your closet in the past, enjoying the initial feeling of accomplishment from having a clean closet only to see it slip away slowly without you knowing. We here at The Geek Closet Organizers Guide recommend getting organized.

Getting organized requires a little bit of work initially, but it will save you a lot of time/frustration in the long run.

The Lazy and Poor Man’s Guide to Organizing your Closet

Identify one problem area and only one; then solve it (if the problem continues, move on to another problem area). A mistake I have made in the past is taking on projects that are too big for the time/energy I have available. For example, I’ll be annoyed that I can’t find one of my shoes before work. This will annoy be extremely so I’ll decide to “clean out” my closet. After I’ve pulled out all my shoes, clothes, and boxes I realize I’m dead tired and it is time to go to work. I throw everything back into the closet and my problem is worse than before.

Try starting with one area. For example, let’s say your shoes are a mess. Try pulling them all out of your closet, buying a shoe organizer, and replacing your shoes in the organizer. If after a week or two you are still unhappy with your closet’s organization, then tackle another problem.

By applying this method you avoid two pitfalls:

(1) Never making any progress. As mentioned previously, trying to take on too much will leave you doing nothing.
(2) Spending way more money than needed. You could buy a complete closet organizing system, but it will cost you a lot of money; money that you might not need to spend.

Individual Closet Organizers

Shoe Organizers/ Shoe Racks – These can really save you some space. They make it a lot easier to find your shoes as well. The key is to take your time to put your shoes back in them every day.

Adjustable Closet Shelves – Shelves can be extremely helpful in keep your closet organized. They are relatively inexpensive, and if they are adjustable then you can move them around as you see room for improvement.

Tie Organizers – Instead of having your ties falling off your hangars all the time, try purchasing a tie organizer or a belt organizer.
Have you had success with closet organizers? Please share your story below.
